PRESENTATION

 

The 2009 Yearbook for Latin America provides quantitative information on the main economies in the Latin America region. In this second edition, four additional Latin American countries and new variables were included, which increased the number of observations significantly: With regard to the following areas of analysis:

  • Argentina
  • Bolivia
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Ecuador
  • Mexico
  • Paraguay
  • Peru
  • Uruguay
  • Venezuela
  1. The Economy: approximately 235 variables and more than 15,510 observations.
  2. Society and Politics: more than 157 variable and 10,362 observations.
  3. The Environment, Energy and Mining: 65 variables and 4290 observations.

The preparation of the data required a major effort, with regard to its updation, standardisation and its procurement from various national and international official statistical sources.
